Aircon not working.
« on: 14 April 2009, 16:19:42 »

I have looked about a bit and looked at other air con related issues, but not found anything that would appear to point me in the right direction.

Basically.  When I turn the air con on, I get the switch light on and that is about it.  I don't get any cooler air flow, no noticible increase in the revs (when idle) I can't hear anything start up in the engine bay that may be pump related either.  Any ideas???

When I had the car, the garage replace a hose at the back of the engine bay, and regassed it, but, I don't think it has ever really worked.  I don't know if there is any link, but the air recirc doesn't appear to work either.

Carl.

With the car running and the A/C on check to see if the A/C pump is running. If it's not it's either breaked or there's no gas.

As already said - check to see if the air-con pulley is rotating, then re post the answer  ;)

I have had a good look under the bonnet, if the air con pulley is on the aux belt, then it is turning, if it isn't then I am unsure as to where it is...

Thanks...
