DEX III, don't bother with dealer for this. Local parts place will do.

Might as well get the gasket kit with filter (£35)

Yup, depending how high they are. I have done a Senator & Omega with the rear on ramps.

Front is no good, not enough access.

Best to back it on, best to have a mate around to shout when your at the edge. Reverse up the ramps, if you have an auto, use the brake as a clutch. Get the revs high and ease of the brake, never fully lift off.

Most on here recommend Fuchs Titan 4000 available from opie oils and some local places - about 20 quid for 5L (same price Halfords sell Comma for).

Alternatively  wash out the filter in parafin and use Loctite 5910 instead of the gaskets.

A replacement sump plug washer is a good idea.

I'd recommend the Tiatn 4000, avaliable from Opie Oils. Sign up to their site, picking Omegaowners.com as a club, and enjoy 10% (I think) discount.

JPAT for filters and gaskets. See post in Parts for sale (stick near top) about discount from them.

Vx trade club does not cover these items.

Titan 4000 is £29.33 for 5lt plus £6.99 delivery from Opie Oils before discount.
I went for the Comma because I could not  wait for it as the my Gearbox was completely dead and needed changing that weekend.
I would have like to use the Titan 4000 as all the guys on here rate it.  :y

It could do
If I selected D or R the box took along time to engage when cold.
I was getting round to changing the oil and filter when the box die on the way home from work. I had no forward drive but did have revease.
When I took the sump off the box it was full of metal filings.
the clutches on the forward gears had worn out. that's why I had to replace the box.
I put the front on ramps and jacked the back up and put it on stands to get to the box
