were to buy hbv

weres best to buy the hbv from? vauxhall or ebay? i seen one on the vaux-centre for £15 :-/

Vauxhall, unless you particularly like doing the job & ripping lumps out of your hands. Apparently pattern HBV fail sooner rather than later.  :y

less than 30 quid.  I think they also call it the coolant cut-off valve.

Mine was £30.86 last summer pt no 090566947
but you just ask for a heater bypass valve for a V6 Omega!  ;)  ;)

from memory! i paid £32 odd i got it on Trade discount though its not a trade club item :y

My dealer is a small one and they had one on the shelf so you may not have to wait for one :y

Mine came from Lizzie Z's dealer and was bussed in from their other branch that morning.

I replaced my HBV about 5 years ago, shortly after getting the car. It lasted till last summer. i'll let you know if i have to change it again before the car gets cubed!  ;D   ;D :y
