Hi all,
new owner here - done a fair few searches before posting (don't want to be a newbie accused of asking a question thats been asked a million times before!) but not found the answer.
1998 2.0eco with (Tometelli? i think) Polish LPG conversion - single point - fairly basic!
car runs fine in LPG most of the time but have a few questions:
It is a manual switch over, so when is best time to do it - 5 mins after starting, 5 miles running, or when water temp is above 95 - any advice?
Sometimes it stalls when in LPG mode - tickover seems very low. i have cleaned out idle motor, throttle body, breather pipes etc as per Tech Help forum and it idles like a dream on petrol but idles a bit low on LPG.
Sometimes after switching to LPG the engine warning light comes on and stays on (orange with a zig zag through it). No noticeable loss in performance but is this related?
Did the paperclip test and haven't got the codes to hand but think it might be crank sensor and oxygen sensor that were showing - can't remember.
is it worth getting the LPG system serviced - and what exactly can/do they do for an LPG only service - might this help.
Any advice on one or all of the questions much appreciated.
finally have to say just did a 550 mile round trip to Wales mainly on LPG and other than a couple of stalls and the warning light coming on a few times it ran well.
