New mass air meter... do I need to reset anything?
« on: 28 May 2009, 13:28:05 »

Hi,

Been told that I have a dodgey mass air meter as this fault came up on the recent check.

I have ordered a new replacement. Is it just a case of plugging the new unit in? Do I have to get anything reset for the new unit to work? My car is a 2.2 16V.

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I didn't have to do anything other than plug it in. I bought an aftermarket one off Ebay (£38)and installed it in the housing, fitted the housing and reconnected the plug. Very easy job on the V6 so I would imagine similar job on your car. It cured the stalling at junctions straight off.
