Front Brake Disc replacement
« on: 11 June 2009, 12:31:12 »

Hi I'm starting new topic as spent ages probably looking in wrong section for help!

I came to change my front brake pads and found discs to be badly worn, have got replacements, need to fix them by tonight unfortunately, if any help/advice is out there I would appreciate it.
Is it a simple case of removing brake calipers then undoing allen key they hitting with hammer to free?

Unbolt the caliper, then unbolt the caliper carriage (2xbolts), then the small screw in disc(if fitted), then gently tap disc all around from behind till free.

Doesn't mean you can't hit it before throwing it away, of course.... ::)

Chop the end off, bare back some wire & twist them both together, wrap up in insulation tape and it'll put the light out!  :y  :y
