barrs coolant flush or forte biodegreaser?
« on: 13 June 2009, 11:16:25 »

i performed a full coolant flush on my omega v6 with forte biodegreaser. excellent stuff and worked a treat. unfortunately it can be difficult to get hold of (my two bottles came off of fleabay!).

halfords sell barrs coolant flush, which is supposed to do the same job, and i wondered if anyone had used this/had any opinions on it as i will be doing a flush on my other car shortly.

thoughts gratefully appreciated!  :y

I used Barrs last week for flushing after the oil cooler change,(Halfords had never heard of Forte, nor a crows foot spanner ::))it seemed to work O.K the water appears very clean, although im still having problems but dont think they are related to the flushing.could be wrong though.

cant ignore the price either... with trade card barrs is about 2 quid a bottle... quite a bit cheaper than forte...
