Not important apparently. I had that code when my cat became blocked, no association though - I think?  :-/

Cheers, I was looking to see if the 'Automatic Gearbox Check' on the display had left any fault code.

As far as I know you can only paper clip for engine ECU codes .... unlike previous Sentors & Carltons  :y

paperclip only does engine ecu, not gearbox.

135, ignore it.

Andy, thanks for the reply, autobox people are in short supply. Catera owners in the USA have a few ideas, plus 'Sassanach' in the UK is the only reply with  sound information.

The '135 - Telltale (Checklight) Voltage Low' made me think, so I checked the battery which was down on volts, even with the engine at 2500 rpm the alternator is only pushing out 13.5 volts max, so the alternator is on it's way out, this could account for all sorts of recent problems, including the autobox!!!!

Unlikely.

Don't get hung up on that 135. Simply pretend it ain't there. Its likely at some point in its life, someone has turned on ignition with dash off, thats all.

Just restarting the car, after which the battery reading was 7.2 volts, it slowly at 2500rpm climbed to 11 volts, used external charger battery looks good, alterator output just over 13 volts, to low, replacing alternator tomorrow £90 +vat because it's an 120 amp type.

sounds more like knackered battery than alternator to me  :-/

Still unconvinced that is related to g/box issue.
