Big water leak back of engine
« on: 27 June 2009, 18:47:18 »

Lost 2 litres in 1/2 hour of driving - air con well on (18c), last couple of days used very little water but less air con (21c).

My coolant bridge washers are knackered.

Could it be anything else?

Was wondering if it could be HBV?

Even though it seemed fine

normally most likely, but seeing as you've done some work around there, you need to investigate

I have 2 bolts, 4 washers on order, some new coolant hose to replace the dodgy one, will see if I can get hold of a JV6CDX as well.

Just umming and ahhing about an HBV.

Could even be the big pipe sealer has come loose

It could be from the transfer pipe which runs from the radiator hose on the left, to the rear of the engine.
