auto stalling worse - code 19 crankshaft sensor?
« on: 01 July 2009, 12:01:28 »

i explained in my previous post '2.5 TD auto stalling' how the revs drop when putting into drive and reverse etc.i have noticed (car just sitting ticking over)it also does it with the steering at full lock either side,if i turn it a little each way.(doesnt stall though, only stalls going into drive/reverse)And i noticed today when putting down all electric windows it done it(revs dropping) when the back ones had reached the bottom.(unlike front, have to keep pressed until right down)i know i shouldnt, but i tried giving the switches a quick press when the windows are already down and the revs drop the same way as i described.Anyway i had already tried a paperclip test and got no codes but tried again today and got 19 - incorrect RPM signal. Are these the symptoms of a faulty crankshaft sensor?Car starts and goes fine.i would appreciate any help as its getting quite annoying now stalling everytime now i put it into drive/reverse.
