Having owned two Vectras (one 1.6 16v and one 2.5 V6) and now a couple of Omegas, they are completely different.

The Omega one being long and circular. The Vectra one is shorter and more of an oval shape on the SRi and GSi backboxes. Standard 4-pot ones on the Vectra are even more different

Sorry mate, have to disagree here. (Unless you are talking veccy C). All the exhaust systems on the Vectras are the same from the cat back, except the 1.6 and I think one of the diesels. You can fit a gsi centre pipe and/or backbox to the 1.8 LS if you like. It's a straight bolt-on job.

I currently have and Omega and a Vectra, if I get chance over the weekend I will take the Omega one off and see how it measures up to the Veccy one. Only other thing of note is if you have a towbar. Don't know if it's the same on the Omega, but with the vectra standard BB's there is an indentation on the top to allow the supporting bar room, may not be an issue, but worth mentioning.

Not sure where you are baz but the ones sold by my local motor factors for the 3 litre is identical to the ones being flogged by Vx ast extortionate prices. Had twin tail pipes painted black. When I enquired the two centre pipe & back box were about £170. If its the chrome ends you want Vx dont do them anymore for the pre-facelift.

From what i remember from when I had my Vectra the back box was secured by bolts to the centre pipes. That was a 2 litre mind

Yes the centres are the same I would imagine. The OP was talking backboxes though, Vectra ones will swap between themselves but I'm pretty certain that one will not fit an Omega
