I filled mine up on thurs/fri and reset the computer and am averaging 13.5 but thats a 4 mile round trip, on a good run I've had it upto 37

Autobox software upgrade should sort out the odd shifting around 40.
 
I have to record every drop of fuel used and mile driven due to my expenses and I can tell you that my 3.0 has averaged 30.03 mpg over the last 9 months, 80% of which are motorway. I can get up to 34mpg on a motorway run.

This week on holiday in wales so lots of short trips up and down very steep hills with a heavy foot (well why hang around eh) has resulted in 23 mpg.

Auto box update worked a treat! Mine was on version 7 and upgraded to 9, no more hunting around 40mph and the changes are a lot smoother now.

Well worth the time and small expense of getting it done (thanks Kevin )

I average 17-18 mpg around town but I have a heavy foot and do a lot of sitting in traffic around meadowhell.

Not taken her on many long runs to check the motorway miles but have three 300 plus trips coming up in the next two months so will monitor then!

I get about 13-14 around town and 20 something on motorway

i have seen about 27 driving like there a traffic cop behind me

but normally I have a solid lead boot

My auto does about 15-17mpg in town too... Little bit of traffic, and a heavy foot at times.
As it happens, tonight I went straight across town. No traffic (11:30pm), all 30mph. It did 31.6mpg, untill I got to some traffic lights  It then dropped to 27mpg.

I get about the same, and believe me, it's only very short trips, and lots of time in heavy traffic ... plus i indeed have got a VERY heavy right foot

I used to average about 22 round town in the 3 litre. I only manage around 25 round town in my current 2 litre.
