cam sensor

are there different types of cam sensor   i rang autovaux   gave reg no model and year and i offered the number off the old cam sensor   chap said he only needed to know if it had wires or a plug   i told him a plug    item came today  stripped cover off removed old cam sensor to find the plug on the loom will not fit in new sensor       any help appreciated

Do you mean Cam sensor or Crank sensor and if Cam what's the part # on your old one?

no on old one says 4204a       new one says  0909b
the plug on my loom has knotches on it but the new sensor is not big enough to accept my plug   and it is the cam sensor   ive just noticed that the new sensor from autovaux has got the nos ground off

On the EPC the only #s given are 90458252 and 24445139 for the X20XEV engine.

the new sensor has come sealed in a bag with the no   90458252

just rechecked  and it seems that my car has the new type sensor and autovaux have sent me the old type so does anyone have a spare plug to fit the old type sensor please
