24mm ring spanner is the tool for this. I found that there is not enough room to put a 1/2" drive socket on it, and my 3/8" drive set does not include 24 mm socket so I've been using the ring spanner without any problems. When installing a new filter I always use the 3/8" drive and always torque it ups to 15Nm

Thanks for al the advice and sizes ive gone through my vast collection of spaners and sockets and guess what i aint got LOL . Looks like im off to the local car boot sale on sunday for a good rummage .(i`m too tight to buy a new one lol ) :y
