Thanks. I've never heard of a MAF sensor. :-*
MAF sensor is located close to the air filter, there is a 90deg bend coming off the filter connected to the maf. undo 3 jubilee clips disconnect the plug and remove the cylindrical thing complete with the sensor and swap it for another known good one and see it if it makes any difference. And if it dosent, scrap it and buy mine, its still for sale  ;D and it now has 12 months test :y

Thanks Mick! :-*

Well I bought it as an MV6.  Loo knee has worked on it apparently.

I did the paperclip test and there was no fault code, just 31 for no revs.

How do I clean the ICV?

Thanks for your help! :-*

Have I, who's car was it then Kate? :)

It was Mark Guest's from Market Drayton.  He said you had worked on it.

Yes I did it had Cambelt & Tensioners, Water Pump, Anti freeze, Cam Cover Gaskets iirc ;) It had a new Crank Sensor too, which started to play up and Mark fitted a new one. I would check or use a code reader to see if it is a failing crank sensor again... stranger things have happened :(

Oh yes Kate, it is an MV6 but has Irmscher Softstar wheels on it :y

It's a great car, I love it.

I've cleaned the ICV and I think it needs a new MAF sensor.
