Tech2 loan?

He won't loan it though, or otherwise let it out of his sight, as they are bloody expensive bits of kit

Don't need full tech2 for that, if you have a laptop, you can get the cheapo tech2 off eBay.

Good point Chris, if you see a spanner, thats not service light. It means there is a fault. Usually cam sensor!

It's the warning light that looks like a wee engine.

So the cheapo tech2 units from ebay work huh? I assumed they would be a waste of time.

Not at all mate, I paid £15 plus postage for the one I had, a U380, and it worked a treat at resetting my fault light

Right then... sounds like the plan is to get a code reader and see whether it throws up any clues re my misfire. I do love my CDX so it's got to be worth the modest investment.

If you do need a tech 2 give me a shout. I'm in Fleet most days so a problem popping over.
