2.2 dti fuel filter housing
« on: 11 November 2009, 09:41:48 »

Has anyone ever had air getting into the fuel by a split or crack in the top of the fuel filter housing which then allows air into the system and the fuel returns to the tank overnight and stops the engine starting in the morning. I have done the return lines from the injectors as i know this can be a fault. :(

yep!!! had it on a hilux couple years back!! only filter housing i could find was off a JCB so that went on and it cured the drain back!!
you could if your fed up buy a peugot straightended hdi bulb pump for £15 and fit it onto the line in engine bay, this has a non return valve in it and then makes priming the engine easy and also stops the drain back to the tank?
just a thought
