Suspension Upgrade
« on: 06 December 2009, 22:27:27 »

I was browsing e-bay and came across these.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HSD-Coilovers-Vauxhall-Monaro-and-Omega_W0QQitemZ190352499293QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2c51e4a25d

Has anyone fitted, or heard of them?  Are they worth the money?

I also came across the following,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OMEGA-B-V6-TDi-LOWERING-SPRINGS-BILSTEIN-SHOCKS_W0QQitemZ350286746823QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item518eb794c7

Anyone fitted them?  I was looking at balance motorsport website and the shocks were a lot more expensive than these, makes me wonder if they are genuine?

Providing you were not speeding and the speed bumps  exeed the specification laid down you will have a very good case against your local authority to compensate you. There was a case local to me were the bumps were too high resulting in a large number of motorists damaging there cars, they all successfully recieved compensation for the resulting damage and the local authority had to reduce the size of the speed bumps :y.

Either the bump is too high as said, or the car is riding too low due to load or ware, or the driver is braking over the bump and the front of the car dips with the suspension loaded.

Seen plenty of police omegas bouncing over speed bumps on the telly with no grounding problem.

I have 5 speed bumps on the way to work, and never a problem.

it was in a 20mph area school crossing, other car have hit it can see the ridges on it there are lots of them about, had nothing in car, on way to see grand mother inlaw have to go over 28 of them from sleeping police men to the road humps high ways will only pay out if more than 2 cars have been hit buy them and been reported, there is a boy racer on our road his is lowerd down and they tuck his engine out hiting one at 30mph in 30 with police car behind him.
