new gearbox

got my new auto gear box fitted yesterday, all seems brill apart from it dont seem as responsive when i use the kick down as it used to, but if i stick it in sports mode it seems quick but my old one was always rapid without hitting the sports button, i mean was this coz my old box was naffed and was stuck in this mode or is this norm, it came out of a 51 plate 2.6

is it the same gearbox as the old one, same number etc?

The car it came from may have been driven gently.The gearbox ecu is adaptive and learns your driving style,so it may become more responsive after you have driven it for a while.
Also,gearbox updates are available via tech 2,  so you could visit one of the people who has this to have the latest upgrade installed.
