I'm still suffering from cluncking noises when going over bumps and a bit of tramlining. The clunking noise is passenger side only.

I've changed the steering idler, link rods (b/s) and shock absorbers. Last year I changed the wishbone bushes - 2 bushes (b/s).

I have noticed though if I have a passenger in the car the clunking noise goes down. The track rods seem ok, there is only a bit of rotational movement in them, not up and down.

Tyres are Continental.

What should I change now?

have you done the compression test, get some one to sit on the wing side and bump up and down,(15-16 stone) should be able to find were the noise is coming from.

well it is a compreeion test with 15-16 stone going up and down helps find the problems that cannot be seen.

Still sounds like drop links....  What about the anti roll bar bushes?  If they are shot then the actual ARB will move a wee bit, possibly giving the 'clonk' sound?

Is it worth removing and reinstalling the link rod? Where do the anti roll bar bushes go? Sorry knowledge is a bit limited here.

The drop links, as I recall, locate into shaped parts, either end.  If they were fitted slightly out and tightened up then through time, could have worked a tad out of position?

One end of the drop link goes to the suspension strut, the other to the anti roll bar.  If you follow the anti roll bar from one end to the other you will see a couple of bushings en route.  This is where the bar is clamped to the chassis.  These bushings sometimes wear and give some degree of free movement, thus a clunking.  Rare though.... 

Either end of the bar locates to the suspension strut via the drop links.  Any torsional twisting at one side (such as when the weight of the car goes onto one side when cornering) is thus transferred to the other in an attempt to reduce the body roll, keeping the other body side up as well, if you follow.....

i suspect these on mine. I doubt its drop links themselves, ime they only rattle when the front wheels are level and the car isnt under any role. This means the role bar is not twisted so not taking out play or under tenssion. Once under tension and the car is in a role condition any play is taken up by tension in the role bar. The same tension you may have experienced when fitting the droplinks and getting the bottom bolt to line up with the role bar when the car is jacked one side and hence in a role condition.

i havent been able to check role bar bushes on mine yet but they are holding the ARB to the chassis behind the radiator. Seem to remember seeing them when changeing cam belt with the air intakes removed, under there, but not sure if they are acessed fron under the car. I guess grab or lever the bar about and see if there is play...?

When checking for broken springs ,ensure you make it a visual one.
I had a broken spring that drove me nuts.I bumped the car up ,and down,all seemed o.k.
Only after the springs were removed ,a small bit (pig tail) at the bottom end was sitting in the    bracket and was knocking as the suspension was extended.
So avisual check is vital.

The noise turned out to be a defective shock absorber mount. It is gone now. Whether it was actually coming from the mount itself or allowing the anti roll bar to move, I don't know, but it sounded very much like the broken link rod noise I had earlier. Thats sorted now, just got to check for the bit if vaugeness in the steering when going over raised road markings.

Also the new steering idler has resolved my creaking sound from the steering wheel.
