Traktor starting delay
« on: 10 January 2010, 11:18:39 »

It has new Glow-plugs
It starts immediately after glow-plug light extinguishes when it's warm but............
When cold i.e. like now in the freezing conditions, there is a 4-5 second delay after turning the key before starter motor turns
It starts perfectly but I'm curious about the delay
Any ideas?

Sounds like some sort of connection not quite making it when cold.
Earth conns on battery, starter etc ok?

to the best of my knowledge, I was wondering whether there is another parameter that has to be met before the starter relay kicks in e.g. fuel temperature?
