Quick couple of questions on the doughnut bushes
« on: 12 January 2010, 16:13:24 »

In the maintenance guide, a couple of pictures appear to show lids on the doughnut bushes. Do you have to buy the lid as well?

fitting wise the voids point to the front and back of the car and solid bits to the sides. Then does one cut out slot point to the front or two? or doesn't that bit matter?

Thanks

lids? not sure what you mean but its safe to say they are all one part, or a pair i should say, one for each side of the car, buy one and you get the total part needed to do one side.

re slots/void holes, all will become clear when you buy them, you can also examine the original bush on your car and fit in the same orientation as the original.

Should you find that the original bush is fitted differantly to the guides description please let us know.

Thanks for that. I bought a pair last night from the dealers. They couldn't find them at first, so I had to show them the maintenance article on OOF and he was able to find them by looking at the photos.  :y  :y (they let me go on their computer system, not sure if VX would).

Also for supplying the part number, it is exactly the same GM part no here.  :y :y

Regarding the lid, if you look at the picture showing the poly bush and the rubber ones, they all seem to have a separate section on top. Couldn't make out what that is.  :-/
