3.0l v6 stalling
« on: 25 January 2010, 19:30:07 »

good evening everyone, I hope somebody can help me - my 3.0l elite broke down this afternoon. After going over a speed hump my engine cut out, after about 15mins it restarted, I got about 1/2 mile and it cut out again, it restarted again after about 10 mins then cut out again after about 1/2 mile again, I managed to get it to work where the car still is, can anybody point me in right direction for possible cause - thanks

classic signs of crank sensor failure, check the maint guide section for details on the paper clip test.

Bet you get a code 19  :y

Yeah, paperclip it, suspect a 19, which means a new crank sensor.
