Greetings!!  yes indeed thr is  im going to post this problem with quick fix plus photos!   Anyway same thing on mine just the other day! get yerself down yer local plumbers providers and get a tube of quick steel! and jus follow directions, perfect application for this problem.  mine was a hairline fracture on plastic housing that appeared after a water pump change!  if that housing was to break down a helluva lot of water is gona be lost real fast! especially if water is going thru rad at that time, so beware!!!!!

Had this same problem myself a few years ago.
Manual and auto radiators are not the same because the auto one has a built in ATF cooler!
Part number is on the right, looking at it from the drivers seat, side vertical tank top. Its a silver label and usually cannot be seen until you take the Rad out.
I know, typical lack of forethought by the VX designers again.
Beware of any glue or filler type fix suggestions - I have tried them all and still had to change the radiator!
The type of plastic that is made from does not lend itself to repairs, other than 'hot air welding' and there are not many places that do that.
For a temporary repair the best stuff by far is Oven Door Seal Adhesive. Its about a fiver on Ebay. It is a high temperature tolerant semi-hard setting silicone that is easy to apply but needs 24hrs to cure completely. Mine lasted for over two years until I sold the car with the temporary 'bodge' still water tight and not leaking.
