Oil leak, cam cover gaskets and breathers...
« on: 27 January 2010, 22:42:11 »

So the oil leak that has been noticed has been traced back to the cam cover gaskets.

Having been on here long enough I seem to remember that either the gaskets are on their way out, or this could also be due to clogged breathers and the easiest way out for the oil is through the cam covers.

So, if I clean the breathers will this stop the oil leaking, or now that it has started leaking, will I have to do the cam cover gaskets irrespective?

You will more than likely end up having to replace the gaskets even with the breathers cleaned out :(
