check as Pete says, avoid first line wheel barings, the conti option mentioned above is the one i'd go for. Some play can be sqeezed out by nipping up the centre nut but only a fraction, dont over do it. Some play is allowed acording to my last mot tester, will be an advisory, up to half a mill is allowed, over a mill, fail. (Hence nipping the centre nut can help if boarder line)
Weather you believe the tester though...
Generally though i suspect the fact camber has not been set means the car will handle randomly and WILL be waring your tyres in a manner that will effect them and the car until they are replaced.
Suggest completeing all further suspension and steering work asap while covering as few miles as possible to avoid further ware, then set up at wim or similar, ring him for a chat, he will also recomend companys nearer you if needed, hes a good lad.
Also just to mention some tyre makes will tramline more than others, Falkens esp are to be avoided on the omega.(and possibly other cars as well)
