Preface & Facelift suspension advice please
« on: 30 January 2010, 16:43:06 »

I'm in the process of uprating and lowering my suspension. Shocks are starting to get worn now, and expect the springs aren't going to last either ?!.

I was under the impression that Preface & Facelift suspension are the same, as mechanically they never changed the set up on the saloon models.

I've bought some Apex -40mm springs, and I've been looking at quality shocks to go with them.
Well finally found a good deal for the shocks using FK automotive brand, as they will work with other manufacture springs - I've used FK before.

Question is the company doing the good deal are listing the Omega as Omega B Year: 04.94- .
Well if I'm not mistaken doesn't that make it that the shocks will be ok only upto 1994 ?.

Yes I know I can phone the company to ask them, but I don't fully trust companies when you ask them stuff, as some just want your money, and the sales people don't always know what their talking about ?!.

So I'd rather ask people in the know.

Anyone advise on if I'll be okay using these shocks on my facelift, even though these shocks are listed for preface models ?.

Hoping someone can advise.

Regards.

That means Omega B from April 1994 to end of production, it's the way all the service parts books read.
