MAF??????????
« on: 05 February 2010, 20:17:31 »

My father & I both have 2.2 auto facelift omega's of the same age and they have both done 58k ish.
When I pull away from 0mph to around 15mph in his car it shoots forward & is very responsive. Mine is slow and not very responsive.
Both have been recentley fully serviced & have had codes read by the boy & are ok.
The only difference is that my father had his mef sensor replaced because the car was sluggish.
Is my maf on it's way out?????? which would explain the slow pull away speed?????? :-/
cheers
Paul

Changed the maf for a new gm/siemens unit. The rev counter needle fly's up & down quicker but my car feels like it is in snow mode compared the old mans when I pull away!! :(

have you had the codes read? Most common sensor to play games on the 2.2 is the cam sensor.

Drop TheBoy a PM, he is based up the road in Brackley, has tech2  :y

saw the boy on new years day & had codes read, the only fault was cam sensor so I changed it. it was coming up "automatic gearbox fault" & putting car in limp mode. :y
