special puller ? ? ? This all looks like its going to be turning into a major job lol  didnt know that a special puller was required ! How things have changed

This is the kind of thing you're after. clicky you might be lucky & remove it with your knees in the time honoured fashion. But I've struggled in the past with removing Vauxhall/Opel wheels.

Soft faced mallet behind steering wheel. Few taps, works every time for me

 :y :y :ywell guys i am going to forget the idea of removing the wheel and gear knob as it seems too much hassle involved and so little time to do it in , so i would like to say a huge thankyou to you all for the guidence and advice on the subject i must say that this forum community is the most helpful , friendly and knowledgable i have ever come across ! Yes he's coming to fit a new Aux belt & set of breathers then he's off to yours. He's not here yet so you got a few hours to play with.
