This is the kind of thing you're after. clicky you might be lucky & remove it with your knees in the time honoured fashion. But I've struggled in the past with removing Vauxhall/Opel wheels.

  :ywell guys i am going to forget the idea of removing the wheel and gear knob as it seems too much hassle involved and so little time to do it in , so i would like to say a huge thankyou to you all for the guidence and advice on the subject i must say that this forum community is the most helpful , friendly and knowledgable i have ever come across ! yes it is its a 3.0 manual i have purchased a 99 2.5 elite estate again with a manual box more practical for me i guess he is coming to you first is he? 

Yes he's coming to fit a new Aux belt & set of breathers then he's off to yours. He's not here yet so you got a few hours to play with.
