NOT AN OMEGA BUT STILL A VX
« on: 20 February 2010, 21:02:53 »

I have recently rebuilt my missus Vectra V6 replacing the heads and gaskets, spark plugs, timing belt kit and she runs sweet as a nut WHEN WARM >:(

The car struggles to start in the morning popping and stalling. When she eventually starts correctly she runs like a dream. The timing is spot on, everything is tight including all vacumm hoses and air ducting. The only thing that has been moved is the crank sensor to help replace the oil cooler. I have also replaced the Dispack. What do you think the problem could be?

CRANK SENSOR?

What year is it? Is it possible to use the paper clip or pedal trick to read the codes?

assuming its a 2.5, done a paperclip test? crank sensor does not have to be removed to take off the oil cooler bolts

Can do a paper clip test

I had to remove the oil cooler feed and return pipe to give enough slack for the oil cooler to pass the pipework from between the heads
