climate control works sometime doesnt?

hi my climate control on my 99 2.5 manual sometimes works ... nice and warm , go on a run its fine . stop the car and get back in and its just cold air. any ideas?

does the sampling fan work ok?

there is a little 'vent' on the climate panel, when working it should be powerful enough to hold a small piece of tissue to itself.

If not, the car may think it is hot enough already, so not supply hot air...

sometimes a clean helps, otherwise the fan can be replaced with a small pc fan.

Is the blower working ok ? responsive to fan speed settings . Do any vents blow warm ,  Check L/H dash vent .  I recently had one of the flap control linkages fail , but as yours seems to be intermittent that doesn't seem so likely but may be worth checking
