Miggy reluctant to start in the mornings!!
« on: 02 March 2010, 16:41:02 »

Basically the miggy is very reluctant to start each morning and either starts at the third or fouth attempt..
When you start the car the first time it just vibrate and goes off....the same for the second and sometimes third...

No lights are on to indicate any problem and code reader does not detect any problems
(A little background would be in order...the vehicle was stationery for about 80 days and drove it for a few days without changing oil...oil ws very dirty when changed...the day after oil change car started at first attempt...but after that went back to starting at third or fouth attempt).

Basically after car starts it runs smoothly for the whole day until next morning (It starts at first attempt during the whole day)

Any ideas???

I spoke to local opel dealers here and they suggested i buy one of those products..you pour onto the petrol tank to clean the engine and injectors. They think using fuel with different octane levels may cause the problem.
Any ideas?

Just a random thought .. if it stood for so long, in such a high temperature climate .. could the fuel have lost a lot of the "high end" aromatics ??  Fuel does "go off" if left for a long time as the lighter elements evaporate more easily.

Once "warm" it might have enough residual heat to vapourise the fuel enough ??

Might be worth draining the existing fuel and trying a gallon or two of "new" stuff  ????

Had the car serviced last week oil changed...petrol filters..air and petrol filter. Plugs were also changed. No loss of coolant whatsoever...

Just filled up yesterday with the v-power stuff from shell (don't really know if v power works) will run the car until it runs out of fuel completely then i will just add some from a jerry can.....
