Facelift bumper bar and washer bottle
« on: 07 March 2010, 20:02:18 »

I have a mini-facelift car and have fitted a facelift MV6 bumper (did it ages ago). However, I have not yet got the facelift metal support. This is because I have a large washer bottle (windscreen and headlights) inside the current bumper support.

My question is; if I get a facelift bumper support, what implications would that have for my current washer bottle and neck? Would I have to get a washer bottle for the facelift support or could I use what I have now?

Thanks

To do: Replace brake discs and pads; adjust already replaced shoes; check for leaks in oil cooler, cambelt area, crank seals, sump, dipstick; replace osf door; replace a tyre; clean, MOT.

AFAIK washer bottles are same across the range I think the only physical difference is the addition of the pump for the headlight washers where without there is a bung

Ok so all I might have to do is modify the filler neck. That's not too bad

I understood that there were 2 different sizes. One for cars without headlight washers & another bigger bottle for those with.  :-/

It should only be the filler neck you have to remove, as the pre-facelift has an extented neck to reach the slam panel.
