Help with interior light needed
« on: 14 March 2010, 15:23:06 »

I have just replaced my rooflining as the original had holes cut in it by the previous owner(plod) and at the same time i have fitted the proper interior light as a pre-face lift one had been fitted to cover a gapeing hole which had been cut by the nice people at the Met.

Now i have a small problem with the wiring for the light, the interior light works fine but the reading lights don't. The handbook says to press the switches with the ignition ON to use reading lights so i assume you would need a live feed from the ignition switch. All the correct wiring is there including the grey plug with the following colour wires

Red
Brown
Red/Blue
Red/Yellow
Green/Brown
Blue/Red
Blank space
Black
Grey/Black

This is exactly as the plug that was on the replacement light included with the replacement light and this was all working in the donor car (MV6 saloon) so all seems good there. I can't find any missing fuses in the fusebox (there are blank spaces but theses have no wires connected to them anyway)

Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the interior light as i need to find out which wire/terminal on the light feeds the reading lights.
