iam losing water from tank filling it every 3 days but there is no sign of water in the engine oil put do have brown froff on oil cap any ideas

Mayo on the filler cap is fairly normal on a V6 if you do lots of short journeys. Have you checked underneath for drips? Try and get your hand behing the drivers side head where the heater matrix pipes run and check if they or the HBV (black starship looking thing) are wet underneath :y

or it could be the coolant bridge inside the v, no real way of checking without taking the plenum and other bits off. I had this on mine but for some reason it's cured itself, haven't had to top it up for a good 4 odd months :D going to change the header tank tomorrow as keep getting the annoying 'coolant level' message when the fans kick in
