Crank sensor ?
« on: 13 April 2010, 18:57:28 »

Car cut out today , restarted immediately then died again. No EML on and wouldnt start full stop. waited an hour for the RAC and the tw*t started first time and drove home fine.

Gonna clip it now and guessing I will be seeing the ubiquitous code 19!

Can someone link to a picture of the two plug locations as im hoping mine is at the front near the multi rams

I have a crank sensor but im not sure it's the right one as it has a square end and knowing my luck mine will be oval.

Plug is at the rear of engine, passenger side behind plenum.

If its for a 1999 3.0 lit V6 - 99% sure it will be oval plug mate  :y

I don't have a picture, but the sensor is right at the back of the engine by the oil filter & the connection is on top at the back ...... not that I've ever done either of my 2 replacements myself!  ::)

Didn't someone else have a similar problem a few months back? They were asked for registration number and the dealer ordered the wrong part despite the OOFer giving them the correct part number from here.
I think I'd be having words! :-?  ;)  ;)  :y

Happens all the time... It's an error on EPC. I got the wrong one but held on to it as the price was right, sold to an OOFer in the end for what it cost me and (s)he still saved about £15 :y :y
