Battery ,,,...
« on: 20 April 2010, 23:09:03 »

Hello all....

Im fitting some new seats in my mig this weekend..

However need to disconnect the battery so the airbags dont deploy...

Now this may sound a stupid question,,,, can I just disconnect the negative side or do I have to disconnect the positive side as well....

also to prevent the airbag light staying on all the time,,,

Thanks.....

You only need to disconnect the negative side ... you've got 15 seconds from turning the ignition off before the alarm sounds  :y  :y

Then give it a few minutes for the airbag circuits to disarm.
Safest is to disconnect battery then have a cuppa before disconnecting anything airbag related.
