hi all,

ive noticed that l am having to top up the coolant quite a lot in the space of a wek the warning sign has come on twice and when l open the tank it is almost empty.

there dosent appear to be any visual leaks nothing from underneath it dosent appear to be overheating it stays between 80-90 it is starting to worry me :'(

any help much appreciated cheers :)

My money is on the HBV at the back of the plenum under the screen scuttle.Looks a bit like the "starship enterprise"and have a nasty habit of causing a leak.Cost about £30=00 from stealers and are only advisable being replaced with a genuine item,not a cheapo egay jobbie.
Probably loose a bit of skin replacing it but not that hard a task.
Hope you are only topping up with 50/50 coolant mix as you will do a lot more damage just running on neat or low concentrate water.

Had a water leak on mine, was thermostat/housing.

Sounds like HBV, they tend to leak after the heater has been set at one temperture for a long period, sudden warm weather you reduce the temperture in the car, the HBV valve moves and leaks.
Just replaced mine £32.50 plus vat from GM.
