Have you removed  steering wheel or front seats recentley or did the light just appear ?
As said Kevin is the closest Tech 11 geru,but you may find just a simple code reader will reset the light.

only just brought car from
RobseyMV6 it was on when he had the car . it has had sports leather fitted instead of the standard elite leather

hmmm....are the side airbags present in your seats?  wonder if it had old seats fitted  :-/

If so I beleive the ECU can be reconfigured to not have side airbags...

My elite has recaro leather fitted (as standard from new)and these have side air bags fitted...worth just looking to see if your front seats have side air bags,as if not ,as Jimbob suggests will need reconfig with Tech 11

yes the new seats have side airbags . just wondering if the ingition was turned on while the seats were out ?

well sounds like you have the right stuff..

So any good reader should be able to say why it is on, and reset it if there is no problem present.

If the computer can also do live data, such as "My Naff Code Reader" / tech2 etc then it will enable fault finding.

yes, there are a variety one there.

A lot of them are illegal chinese clones...so no discussion on these please.
