Breathers
« on: 27 April 2010, 10:04:31 »

Have just noticed my 3.0 running badly.  After running it around town i've just pulled the dipstick up and there is a lot of smoke coming from it, and also opened the oil filler cap and this was doing the same.
Would this point to the breathers being blocked?
She's also started drinkling a lot of coolant, but no signs of water in the oil and no oil in water could this be connected?

Just remove the main hose going from air filter housing onto breathers and have a look on the top side, if it is dirty probably the underneaths side will be much worse and needs cleaning
