Really not sure if they have a cam belt or chain?
Looks to me all sealed up unlike a V6

They are fine if maintained right, but they never are! Oil changes are key, as with most engines.

There is one rather common big failure, but can't remember what it is  :-[

ElitePete would know, sure he just finished an overhaul on a diesel

2.2 dtis suffer from GM's desire to please fleet market, which all means they are under serviced.

This results in all sorts of boost pressure sensor failures, and in extreme cases, badly worn turbos.

Best plan of action is to clean up all the inlet, and to change the engine oil every 3k miles

Hi
Crankshaft pully failure (the inner tears out of the rubber joining it to the outer), leak off pipes (wont start) belt  tensioner ( squeaking noise at low revs) belt tensioner fixing bolt - replace it if you remove the tensioner) and splitting of various vacuum rubber connectors. The one on the vacuum pump in particular.  P0400 if I remember correctly.
Not a bad list for 150k miles eh?
