Piston Rings
« on: 21 May 2010, 20:27:13 »

Has anybody ever changed the piston rings on a Z22XE?
Is it a bast*rd job?
I'll have the head off anyway, might as well sort out all the other niggles

You'll need more than the head off to do piston rings I'm afraid. Namely bottom end removal to gain access for a start unless I've missunderstood the question. :(

if you can get the sump off, and gain access to the big end caps, no problem. crossmember might be a problem if it restricts clearing the oil pickup.
