Cured fault code 0430
« on: 02 June 2010, 22:23:07 »

Hi,

Just joined your amazing forum as I had an eml light appear on my 51 3.2 Elite Estate.

Fault code from pedal test read as 0430 and I narrowed it down to the drivers side O2 sensor nearest the engine.

Disconnected it, reset the computer and the light stayed off. Thought I'd cracked it but the light returned later. This time code 0130.

Back to square one, I read more help on the forum and decided to check the engine breathing.

Cleaned out the pipework which was dirty. Reset the computer and re-connected the sensor.

Now no light - lovely, long may it last.

Hope this may help someone else in a similar situation.

Many thanks for all the excellent advice that has been posted, I've learnt so much.
