Broken pipe connecter
« on: 06 June 2010, 16:01:27 »

Advise required please guys.....after 12 years of use and being removed more times than I can remember I decided to replace the 3 black pipes from the rear of the breather bridge today as the ends of all had become very dog-eared and were probably not sealing to well.
Large main pipe removed and replaced with no issues as was the small helter skelter pipe to the main back crankcase breather.
Problem arose when I tried to remove the small r/h pipe from breather to the throttle purge valve...as very tight gave it a bit to much pull and the small plastic nipple on the valve has all but snapped off in the pipe, leaving only a few mm to get new pipe on to seal.....looks like it is on but unsure how much pressure is created there and unsure if the loose push fit will hold ??  any advise greatly appreciated.
Finally if the part needs to be replaced exactly what is it and what needs to be removed to replace ?? so I can post up a "wanted "in parts section.

Carbon canister purge valve....

Not a great deal of pressure....in fact it will be exposed to vaccum

So with only a few mm of the nipple into the pipe should be ok ??
