more fun in the corners, can be tad lethal in the wet. Very much doubt you have one, ultra rare in retal spec, only really fitted to Police ones here in the UK, even then some don't have them.

You wont have LSD Diff on a 2.2 DTi, even if it was ex Police, trust me.

Basically it limits the way a normal differential works, imaging one wheel on an ice puddle and the other on concrete, as you accelerate away the wheel on the ice would just spin while the other wheel on concrete would have pretty much no power to drive it, so the Car would be going nowere. LSD would limit the differential working this way and share the power (Torque) to both wheels, allowing the car to accelerate and move forward quicker, under conditions like this.

ok.. i get it so its basicly a traction control.. when a wheel doesn't have grip the lsd moves torque to the wheel that has, or at least shares torque between the 2.

Not really Traction Control, thats more of a method to stop the wheels from spinning, your last part is prety much it.

ok.. thank you. i will try to look for one lsd because i am haveing verry difficult times with my omega on dirt roads when its wet. no matter how gentle i lift my foot off the clutch i still get wheel spin and barely get out.. i can't imagine what it would be like in the winter :(.
hope i can find one around here and does anyone have pics with the two diffs.. i want to know how to recognise them :)

Do they not have roads out there!, sorry, I'll take that back being half Transylvanian myself.

Yea, 80kph down a dirt track with LSD hanging on the back, that should work  ;D.

Well good luck with it all and finding a LSD diff.   :y

i am building a house outside the city and its practicly a field.. not a residential area and i have to go there if it rains or not... i have another property in the countryside and the last 500meters are not paved with tarmac, wich is another problem there and i do that road every weekend wheather it rains or not. i am not bothered when its dry but when its wet it is really hard to make the car move. once it moves its ok but untill then i have to juggle a lot.
besides when it snows here the autorities get the machines out of the garage when there is already a 10cm sheet of snow :).
i heard that a trunk full would help in these situations :P

transylvania is not romania.. it was a separate country wich lasted until around 150 years ago and belongs to romania now :P.... i just don't like dracula being associated to romania aka transylvania  ;)
