Omega modification
« on: 09 July 2010, 22:59:05 »

Hi guys, great response on the engine swap question, many fab ideas. The engine swap for budget reasons is still a long way off but i needed to test the water first. Some of you have mentioned a Lotus/GM Straight 6 instead of a V8 so i may as well tell you all that my other idea was to modify to a Lotus Omega (a great step forward on the Carlton model). Due to me not being sure which way to go at this time i will stick with the V8 idea for now and probe you all for more info on this potential project. This time i am looking into either a real or fake bonnet vent of the squarish type found on the V8Star car i keep mentioning (pics can be found online) but have no idea where to find anything similar. Likewise i still have no idea where to find a bootlid spoiler of VERY similar style (only seem to find awful jap crap spoilers). Would love to one day be able to have a show car of legendary proportions. Keep looking for more updates on this and my other (Lotus) project idea.

Why oh why was there never a V8 Omega????
Such a missed oppurtunity.
Look forward to the Cadillac ATS & ATS-V. Maybe a re-badged one will replace the Miggy as a RWD runner?
