Try to avoid 'Depo' Headlights.

I had a nightmare with these. Everyone that was sent to me via mail order was damaged. Not by the 'Royal Mail' but in the manufactiring process which should allow the beam to move with the hight adjustment.

The retailer examined all the stock he had and confirmed that everyone had the same manufacturing fault!

One that did arrive much later was not damaged - but after only two years it is turning opaque with the indicator edge cracking. I also had to rewire the side light - again because it was manufactured wrongly!

The Hella replacement on the other side still remains perfect.

You pays your money - you take your chance!

Face lifted headlights will fit straight into a pre facelift car but the lenses are a different shape, i have facelifted xenons in my 95 elite but i also had to fit the bonnet, which looks daft with the older front bumper. Wiring wise get the plugs with the new headlights and join the wires colour for colour but if your fitting xenons you will need an extra earth wire for the transistor box, also handy hint, xenons have a 5 wire headlight adjuster motor, i removed this and fitted the 3 wire ones from my older headlights, straight fit. The main difference between the old and new headlights is the lense, you can remove the newer lense and fit the older shape one, although this is a bit of a pointless exercise unless the older ones are in good nick, but it would save changing a bonnet! On the wing cutouts, they are identical through the range i had no problem fitting '02 headlights to a '95 car, other thing worth noting is the plastic trim around the headlights is different, i cut the corner out of both of mine to make them fit but then i broke the headlight washer jet on the last one i fitted d'oh! later cars have the washers in the bumper
