Xenons >:(
« on: 12 August 2010, 18:47:19 »

Fitted a set of facelift xenons to the barge, discovered that they illuminated the front bumper quite well so i got a pair of aluminium adjusters off flea bay and fitted them, can see in the dark now, but inside the headlight, where you would access the main beam and sidelight bulbs there is a metal lever, what is it for cos i was playing with it? Maybe i shouldnt have, but it was there and i just had to, bit like a big red button that says dont push.......... ;)

Yeah as stated (and in handbook) for adjusting beam to suit continental driving.

Why oh why was there never a V8 Omega????
Such a missed oppurtunity.
Look forward to the Cadillac ATS & ATS-V. Maybe a re-badged one will replace the Miggy as a RWD runner?

Hand? Book? Are they not supposed to be used for mixing isopon on? I'll wait till its dark and point them at the side of the house and play with them again, but have just burst a intercooler pipe, so i'll probably just end up parking it in a huff and using the vectra for a couple of days :-[

Instructions are for the weak, and only to be read in a dark room so no one will doubt your infallibility, on a similar note i'm going to stop saying to myself 'i shall remove this bottom intercooler pipe with a hacksaw, nobodys ever going to need one of those. D'ohhhhhhhhh!!! :-X :-X

Its an elite so it already had the headlight washers on it but as theyre the earlier type one of the nozzles broke when i was removing them to fit the headlights, so now one washes the headlight and the other fires a stream of water about ten feet in front of the car, funny when sitting at pedestrian crossings and such, i was going to fit the facelifted bumper which has the nozzles in the bumper instead, but i think theyre hideous, they just really dont suit the car at all, and its starting to grow on me with the facelift bonnet and pre facelit bumper, just need to paint the damn thing  ;D if i can figure out how to post pics i will
