put my wipers on today and when i turn them off they are stuck in the middle of the windscreen!!when i put them on they move down and up as they should but when i turn them off there stuck in the middle again!ive tried turning the engine off when the wipers at at the bottom to keep them there but as i put the engine on they come back to the middle!how can sort this as its dangerous!!

Think you will find the wiper relay is knackered

As they move, but "park" in the wrong place .. my guess is the electrics - relays etc - are all good , but either the park microswitch is fubarred or the mechanism has "slipped". If memory serves there is a mark on the motor that should align with a mark on the mechanism to indicate the "park" position.

Dangerous? Anoying maybe but can't see how it's dangerous  :-/
Remove the whole mechanism and the arm from the motor will have shifted on its tapered spline. Slacken the M8 nut and move the arm round till it lies between the marks ...... >     <
