Heat coming from drivers side
« on: 31 August 2010, 17:02:05 »

hi guys, my omega (w reg) produces a lot of heat from the drivers side (the panel just above the front wheel covering the side of the engine) when you open the door you can feel the heat hit you in the face after a drive. however it doesnt do this all the time and the length of the journey ive done doesnt have any bearing.

any ideas guys?

thank you :)

Don't worry about the heat, all V6's do that and the cats especially are radiating heat just under where your front doors are ;) ;)  The big engine produces a lot of heat! :D :D ;)

Quite normal the radiator fans run on for a while after the ignition is switched off in some circumstances and the hot air escapes under the car, if you can hear the fans running when you step out of the car nothing to worry about.
